All of these individuals have completed Incident Command 100 and Incident Command 200 training. These courses developed by the USDA are offered on the National Animal Health Emergency Response Corps website (maintained by the Center for Food Security and Public Health at Iowa State University) at no charge https://naherc.sws.iastate.edu/.
Additional ACVM Diplomates are encouraged to join the Task Force; just complete the two courses listed above and send us a copy of your certificate from each course. These courses introduce the Incident Command System which will be used to manage the response to any infectious disease emergency. The Incident Command System is designed to ensure coordination among responders from various agencies.
